I have a little-known collection of Homies figures. It's the only thing that I've collected recently besides LPs & magazines. the thing is that I have rules for their purchase, though. I buy them exclusively from the Osco around the corner & I only buy them when I have change. I guess I couldn't buy them if I didn't have change but the idea is that I don't make change to get them. I haven't gotten the ones I've really wanted recently. Series 5 had a cool DJ named Jokachild & a guy with a huge boombox called Mastablasta. The new series has an ice cream/fruit bar guy & a graffiti guy, complete with can-filled trenchcoat. Maybe one day...

Mary hipped me to this site all about gym shoes. I always thought that Troop shoes were lame, I don't know about you guys. I guess LL was down with Troop, so they couldn''t be all that bad. Also check this & this out, if you a shoe nerd.

After some phone tag & missed opportunities, there's a new cat at our house. His name is Terry & he's from the streets via Karen & Courtland. The first encounter between T (as he may be called...t-dog, t-man, trouble, troublefunk...there's this thing about not changing the name of a cat someone's giving you even if it's just been named, I don't know we'll see) & the Dr. led to some horrendous noises & fat tails all around. Personally, I was bitten rather well on the wrist before I let go of one of them. I'm going to have to wear my watch on the wrong arm for awhile. For the last 24 hours they've been stalking each other, neither willing to admit that they're afraid of each other. Pussies.
