I can't wait until lomblad.net is the first thing that comes up when you google my last name. Right now it's on the second page. A link from Tom Noe's csene.com weblog is #1.

If you're like me & dropped out of architecture school after one semester or you liked David Macaulay books as a child or you just like drawings of buildings, you should go look at these drawings from the Howard Gilman Collection at MoMa. From Coudal.

I got a Fetch educational serial from a teacher at school. Now there's a new front page on the webjam. Maybe I'll stay home tomorrow & add a bunch of crap. You'd like that.
I picked up my cap & gown today. i wonder if I can scrape together enough money to get a GameBoy Advance by Sunday afternoon. I think Russell Simmons is speaking at the ceremony. I hope it's him & not Janusz Kaminski or someone.
If you're like me & you like photography, you should take a stroll over to Jason Fulford's site. He takes nice photos in addition to publishing some similarly, uh, nice books. (with my vocabulary, there's no way I'm not getting in to grad school. (As long as they don't ask me what my pictures are about I'll be okay)). Jason's site reminds me that I want to use handwriting on mine. The only problem is that now everyone is going to thing I copied him.

So Cremaster 3 is pretty much 182 mins. of Matthew Barney & "look at how crazy I am." Nice to look at but so what. I don't know whether I liked it or not. Maybe any movie that inspires this much talk & thinking is worth the price of admission. There is a decent review here. The guy from the Chicago Reader called it "bloated & pompous". That's pretty close.
If you've been looking for new content at lomblad.net, I apologize. I have new pages but have yet to get another version of Fetch so they're just sitting in a folder on my desktop. If you'd like to come over & look at them, you're more than welcome. While you're on the internet, go watch the new Postal Service video for "Such Great Heights." Some bug causes it to start in the middle but if you watch long enough it starts over at the beginning.
Yesterday a baby bird flew into one of our windows & got trapped between the storm window & the regular one. I only noticed when Dr. Jones started freaking out about it. When I oh-so-carefully clutched the bird to save it, it screamed louder than it seems like it should have. All was good in the end. It flew away with a good story to tell its friends, quite unlike this one.
