Does anyone else think that the term "functional art" is redundant? Doesn't art serve its purpose as art? So-called "functional art" actually serves another purpose besides alleviating the weariness of the world for just a moment or whatever that one guy said that one time. Anyway. I was just thinking on that for a bit.

Last night, as we were falling asleep, somebody beat the shit out of our neighbor's car with a bat or something & then split. It was a strange noise to hear in the late evening. All I could think was that summer had finally arrived.

So, I tied for 1st place in the Union League contest & now I have money to get my site back up & I got a new bank account this morning at the financial behemoth BankOne & the funny thing is that I just checked Google & lomblad.net is finally first. Hooray.

Is anyone else a little bit interested in how, with the G5, Apple has moved back closer to those old, beige boxes, except with handles? Of course, it's 64 bit computing & it's machined aluminum & it has 4 seperate temperature zones & it's 4 times quiter than the G4 & there's a panel of ports on the front & um, it's really, really cool looking. I think I could get one but I think I probably won't. Instead, one of these will be making better use of my deskspace very soon. Oh, and I quit my job at Reckless after 6 years. It's a scary world out there but someone has to live it.
